Hi, I’m Quanita, everyone just calls me Q.
I created Qski.com.au in 2021 to showcase my work and my creative journey. Feel free to get in touch and ask me anything.
What is my Real Job?
While working on Qski I am still working as a Principal Data Analyst where I am a hands-on technical team leader for a team of four in the public sector for the state ambulance service. I have over 20 years of experience in IT, business intelligence and data analytics in both the private and public sector in a wide variety of industries.
What is Qski About?
Qski is about sharing my passion for being creative and creating kawaii and cute things. I have (we all have) a need to be creative and Qski is my way of nurturing that part of myself. I would love to help you nurture that part of yourself too.
Tell me more?
I was born in Cape Town, South Africa in 1975 and immigrated to South Australia in 1991. I am married to Al and we have a 4-year-old daughter Astrid who is totally awesome. I’m a cat person, we have 2 fur babies, Aria and Moriarty who are British Shorthairs. I don’t think either of them knows their given names -we call Aria, Schmooshy because she has a smooshed face and Moriarty Fluffy because he is huge and Fatty was a bit mean.
All of my creative passions are self-taught and a continuous journey which I will share with you in the blog. I am most drawn to kawaii and cute art, design and illustration. My blog will include lots of stuff about these things:

I very rarely drink tea, when I do its chamomile or if I am ill and sooky hot and sweet English breakfast (once or twice a year).
I don’t drink coffee. On really cold days I will sometimes have a hot chocolate.
I have a diet coke every morning for the caffeine, if I have more than one I stay up all night.
